PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a luminance variation area from being visually recognized as a linear defect even if a gate of a driving transistor and an anode of an organic EL element are electrically short-circuited in a pixel.
SOLUTION: In a display, pixels each of which includes an organic EL element 1D, a writing transistor 1A, a driving transistor 1B and a holding capacitor 1C are arranged in a matrix state. In this case, while a scanning signal is being given to a scanning line in a period during which a pixel line of preceding stage is driven, a video signal reference potential is given to a signal line DTL to correct the threshold value of the driving transistor 1B in its own pixel. At that time, a potential setting period is provided, which sets a potential to be given to a power source feeding line DSL to the video signal reference potential Vo in a period from the beginning of the lights-out of the organic EL element 1D to the application of a high voltage Vcc_H to the power source feeding line DSL.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
