<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce pressure loss of gas in a gas flow channel of a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: By narrow parts ST<SB>N</SB>of notch sizes formed on strand parts ST of expanded metal 28 structuring a mesh, a straight gas flow channel 16S heading from a gas flow-in end to a gas flow-out end of the gas flow channel is formed between cell structuring members. Moreover, since the narrow part ST<SB>N</SB>of the notch sizes of the strand parts ST of expanded metal 28 is fitted at a position separating a separator 18 adjacent to the expand metal 28 and the strand parts ST, the straight gas flow channel 16S heading from the gas flow-in end to the gas flow-out end of the gas flow channel is formed along a surface of the separator 18 adjacent to the expand metal 28. Thus, gas flow GF flows straightly into the straight gas flow channel 16S without fluctuation.
