摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a multi-cylindrical steam reformer capable of realizing cost reduction by solving various problems associated with conventional multi-cylindrical steam reformers. <P>SOLUTION: The multi-cylindrical steam reformer for a fuel cell is equipped with; a layer for pre-heating a mixed flow of a raw fuel and water and/or steam arranged in an upper gap and a reform catalyst layer arranged in a lower gap, provided that the upper and lower gaps are formed in the circumferential direction between first and second cylinders; a reform gas passage which is inverted at the bottom end of the second cylinder and is arranged in a gap formed in the circumferential direction between second and third cylinders; a CO modification catalyst layer and a CO removal catalyst layer arranged between third and fourth cylinders.
