PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an image after correction processing without making a user be bored until the completion of correction processing for a face in image data after image pickup.

SOLUTION: An organ detecting section 20 detects a face in a picked-up image. A corrected main image processing section 1811 executes predetermined correction processing for a face region in the picked-up image based on a result of face detection by the organ detecting section 20. An effect image processing section 1833 applies reduction processing to the picked-up image to generate a small image before processing, executes correction processing for the face region in the small image before processing based on a result of face detection by the organ detecting section 20 to generate a processed small image. An effect processing section 211 executes effect processing using the processed small image in parallel to the corrected main image processing executed by the corrected main image processing section 1811.
