<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining method for metallic members for increasing joining strength by preventing the occurrence of heat history for each portion in the boundary of a weld zone of different metallic members. <P>SOLUTION: Fused Zn-based brazing filler metal 3 is evaporated by direct irradiation of a laser beam 102, and fusion is started in the weld zone of an Fe-based metallic member 1 and an Al-based metallic member 2, and a keyhole 5 is formed therein. The formation of the keyhole 5 is performed in such a manner that the evaporated Zn-based brazing filler metal 3 is filled in the keyhole 5. During heating of the weld zone, the entire surface from the upper side to the lower side of the keyhole 5 is nearly uniformly heated by multiple reflection of the laser beam 102 in the keyhole 5. After the heating of the weld zone, a fusion material 6 that enters the keyhole 5 can react uniformly with the entire surface in the keyhole 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
