<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect abnormalities of an LED module and an LED lighting device, and to quickly notify the abnormalities to the outside. <P>SOLUTION: The LED lighting device 2 for lighting the LED module 1 includes: an abnormality detection circuit 25 for detecting a forward direction voltage of an LED 100 constituting the LED module 1 comparing the forward direction voltage with a threshold set in advance, deciding a failure of the LED 100 when the detected forward direction voltage exceeds the threshold and outputting failure information; and an external informing circuit 26 for inputting the failure information and outputting an abnormality signal to the outside of the headlamp device for a vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
