PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal fitting into which a counterpart terminal fitting is inserted with less power, and with which defects such as coming-off of a spring member occur at a reduced ratio when the counterpart terminal fitting is inserted thereinto or removed therefrom. SOLUTION: The terminal fitting 1 is provided with a cylindrical electric contact portion 3 to be inserted into an insertion portion 8 of the counterpart terminal fitting 2. The electric contact portion 3 includes: a pair of walls that are arranged at an interval and between which the insertion portion 8 is inserted; and a plurality of elastic portions 11 that are formed projecting from one wall 4 toward the other wall 5 of the pair of the walls, the elastic portion 11 pressing the insertion portion 8 toward the other wall 5 to tightly hold the insertion portion 8 together with the other wall 5.
