PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for calculating and monitoring a heating value of LNG in a storage tank which enable real-time monitoring of the heating value at a LNG storage base control room by calculating the heating value of LNG in each storage tank mixedly stored, since a storage method, in which LNG is stored in one of high/middle/low heating value tanks according to the heating value, is replaced with a method in which LNG is stored mixedly without being separated according to the heating value. SOLUTION: The system includes: at least one LNG storage means; a measuring means to measure the density and temperature of LNG which is provided for the LNG storage means; a calculation means to calculate the heating value using the density and temperature values measured by the measuring means; and a monitoring means to display the heating value calculated by the calculation means.
