<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brace for a temporary scaffold which can increase safety of a work site by more firmly connecting a support with the brace, facilitate the installation of the brace and the support, and improve the working efficiency at the site by making the structure of a connecting part relatively simple to suppress weight increase. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The brace 10 for a temporary scaffold has diagonal members 11 diagonally arranged between scaffold supports and insertion members 20 connected to both ends of the diagonal member through pivot pins 14, and is formed by inserting a hook 21 of the insertion member into a receiving hole 31 of a diagonal member-receiving member 30 disposed on the scaffold support. An insertion member through-hole 24 is formed in the insertion member. Slide contact parts 15 to the scaffold support are installed at both ends of the diagonal member. The hook of the insertion member is inserted into the receiving hole of the diagonal member-receiving member. The diagonal member is inclined while approaching the scaffold support, and brought into contact with the scaffold support, and at the same time, a pawl 22 of the hook is brought into pressure contact with a pressure receiving part 32 of the receiving hole, thereby fixing the diagonal member to the scaffold support.
