A terminal and the scan method thereof are disclosed in the present invention. The method includes that: after accessing a network, the terminal receives a downlink channel descriptor message, and acquires a scan triggering period table taken in the downlink channel descriptor message; the terminal performs periodic scan according to the scan triggering period table. According to the technical scheme of the present invention, the efficiency for the terminal scanning in different scenes can be effectively improved, therefore the performance of the system is improved. |
