A computer implemented method and system of fixing the display position of
selected items on the display screen of a hand-held computing device is
disclosed. The
method includes displaying at least a portion of a list having at least one
non-fixed item on
said display screen; selecting a subset of items from said list to be
positionally fixed; storing a
displayed position of each item in said subset; associating each item in said
subset with a
pinned icon; and displaying each positionally fixed item and its associated
pinned icon at its
stored display position, wherein each pinned icon is positioned proximate to
said item to
which it is associated.
