<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery having an upper thin case formed of a metal material. <P>SOLUTION: The secondary battery includes a bare cell, a protection circuit module having a circuit board 121, the upper case 130 having a cover plate for covering a circuit board of the protection circuit module and formed of the metal material, and a case insulating layer 130b formed on an outer surface of the cover plate of the upper case. It is preferable in the secondary battery that the cover plate of the upper case has a lower surface opposite to the circuit board of the protection circuit module and the case insulating layer is formed on the lower surface of the cover plate of the upper case. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
