<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for discharging in-pit sump water which can maintain high-speed construction performed by a TBM. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Pits T1-T4 and S1-S4 for storing the sump water comprise drilled holes 15 which are formed at a bottom board in a pit of a tunnel 1. The sump water which is stored in the pits T1-T4 and S1-S4 is guided to the side of a pit mouth by a pump and water introduction pipes 23 and 27. Invert segments 13 are juxtaposed in the axial direction of the tunnel on the bottom board in the pit of the tunnel 1; the drilled hole 15 is formed in the arrangement-planned position of the predetermined invert segment 13; and the operation of drilling the drilled hole 15 is performed in such a manner as to continue to the installation work of the invert segment 13 adjacent to the arrangement-planned position.
