<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a raw material powder which is suitable for producing a lightweight sintered member. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The hollow alloy powder is characterized in that, as an alloy component, alloy element grains are diffused and stuck, in such a manner that the content of Mo is controlled to ≤2.0 mass% to the grain surfaces of hollow iron powder having a composition containing iron with inevitable impurities, wherein the insides of the iron powder grains have vacancies, the average grain size is 50 to 200 μm, and the average thickness of the grains is 10 μm to 1/4 of the average grain size.
