<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition which can remarkably improve the mechanical properties of a molded product such as flexural durability and deformation resistance and a driving belt having excellent mechanical properties. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rubber composition contains an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer and layered clay mineral particles in an amount of 5-60 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass ethylene-α-olefin copolymer and further contains an alkoxysilane compound having a polymerizable carbon-carbon double bond in the molecule.
