<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive mounting structure of a heat insulation board reducing spaces and reducing materials of a steering box and the heat insulation board. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This mounting structure of the heat insulation board includes the heat insulation board 23 for suppressing the heat from peripheral parts from being transmitted to an annular dust cover 17 for covering the opening of a cylindrical pinion housing 16 crossingly branched from a cylindrical rack housing 15 of the steering box 14 and projecting a pinion shaft 7. A tapping screw 33 is passed through the heat insulation board 23 and is screwed into an outer peripheral surface of the pinion housing 16, and thereby the heat insulation board 23 is fixed to the pinion housing 16.
