摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for dephosphorizing molten pig iron, which is conducted by supplying an oxygen source such as gaseous oxygen or iron oxide and a CaO-based dephosphorization refining agent for absorbing generated phosphorous oxide to the molten pig iron, effectively uses a refractory containing waste carbon such as an Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>-SiC-C-based refractory as a slag-making material, thereby can markedly enhance the latitude of heat in the molten pig iron compared with the conventional one, and simultaneously can effectively dephosphorize the molten pig iron due to the quick slag formation of the CaO-based dephosphorization refining agent. SOLUTION: The method for dephosphorizing the molten pig iron includes adding the oxygen source, the CaO-based dephosphorization refining agent and a nonoxide-based silicon compound and/or a material containing carbon into the molten pig iron 2 accommodated in a reaction vessel 4 to apply dephosphorization treatment to the molten pig iron.
