The system (5) has a release lever, an actuating element (2), a housing (1) and a locking device provided for locking a closing device e.g. flap, of a vehicle. The lever holds the locking device in a locking position by pre-tensioning. The lever releases the locking device against pre-tension by manual actuation of actuating element. The actuating element and the lever are connected via a flexible oblong connection element (4). The connection element is guided into a guide of the system, where the guide is connected with the housing.
