<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network monitoring device capable of appropriately comprehending monitoring data necessary for a fault analysis. <P>SOLUTION: The network monitoring device connected to a device to be monitored through the network comprises: a monitoring setting means for setting a monitoring policy; a monitoring means for obtaining monitoring data expressing the status of the network or the device to be monitored on the basis of the monitoring policy; a monitor-predicting means for predicting and calculating predict-monitoring data expressing the future status of the network or the device to be monitored on the basis of the past and/or current monitoring data obtained by the monitoring means; and a monitor setting management means for varying the monitoring policy on the basis of the predict-monitoring data calculated by the monitor-predicting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
