PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device for an image forming apparatus for keeping optimal cleaning property. SOLUTION: The cleaning device includes a cleaning brush 36 where brush fiber having the proximity of the tip coated with a coating layer of 1E+12Ω/square or more is arranged on the whole circumference of a core metal spirally at high density, and a recovery roller 37 for recovering a collection object collected by the cleaning brush 36.
