Steps a) and b) are at least partially executed simultaneously. After step b) has been completed, the method involves an operation (134) involving regulation of the torque quantity transmitted by the mechanical synchroniser of the second shaft to the initial shaft or vice versa, via a maximum energy threshold that can be dissipated by the mechanical synchroniser.
