摘要 <p>The method involves determining a stoichiometric air/fuel ratio in an internal combustion engine, based on gas quantity in a cylinder, injected fuel quantity, and exhaust residual percentage at the end of a combustion event in the cylinder. The ratio is determined based on exhaust residual percentage in an inlet channel and a portion of injected fuel combusted in the cylinder. The gas quantity is determined from volumetric efficiency, cylinder volume, gas constant of an inlet gas, inlet gas temperature, and inlet channel pressure. An independent claim is also included for an internal combustion engine comprising a turbo charger.</p>
