PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for supplying firmware data which supplies firmware data to a digital broadcast receiver without being influenced by the condition of a reception condition of digital broadcast even when a network is not interposed.

SOLUTION: An STB 100 includes: a modulation part 117 for generating a modulated wave created by superposing firmware data on a channel different from a channel with contents superposed thereon in digital broadcast by modulating a carrier using a modulation method identical to that of the digital broadcast; and an RF transmission part 119 for transmitting the generated modulated wave to a digital broadcast receiver.
