<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small, light-weight and safe water heater for mounting to aircraft, operated by an aircraft power source of an AC variable frequency mounted to the aircraft, reducing electric power consumption and capable of supplying warm water stably. <P>SOLUTION: In the water heater for mounting to the aircraft comprising a tank part for heating liquid stored therein and a controlling part for controlling the heating of the liquid by the aircraft power source, a bottom face of the tank includes a baffle plate, and liquid made to flow in the tank part collides against the baffle plate so that the direction of the flow is changed to that in parallel with the bottom face and the liquid is upwardly moved in the vicinity of a helical coil-type heater.
