<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that performs an image forming process suitable for the hygroscopicity of paper, by correcting an image forming condition set on the basis of the atmospheric temperature and humidity in an image forming section, according to a drive current when the paper is drawn out. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 is provided with: a paper feed cassette 81; pickup roller 111A; a drive motor 111D; a measuring section 150; a temperature and humidity sensor 60C; and a control section 60. The measuring section 150 measures a drive current with which the drive motor 111D drives the pickup roller 111A. The control section 60 sets an image formation mode on the basis of the atmospheric temperature and humidity of an image forming section 110 measured by the temperature and humidity sensor 60C.
