<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high-speed variable length decoding processing. <P>SOLUTION: The decoder executes termination determination and error determination every time variable length code data as code data which are subjected to variable length encoding and whose number is different are decoded by only "1" as the number of determination, and completes the decoding processing for a processing target block as a processing target when termination or error is determined. In this decoder, a non-determination decoding processing section 32 continuously decodes the variable length code data, and completes the decoding processing for the processing target block when the variable length code data are decoded by only "64" as the maximum number owned by the macroblock. The decoder selects decoding data decoded by one decoding processing section capable of completing the decoding processing for the processing target block at the highest speed, out of a termination determination decoding processing section 30 and the non-determination decoding processing section 32. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
