PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for taking user's convenience into consideration and capable of attempting to perform electric power saving. SOLUTION: A standby print job is confirmed (Step S11). Next, a job ID is obtained (Step S12). Then, a command for displaying a standby printing confirming screen is issued (Step S13). Then, whether or not there exists a requirement of printing within a given time is determined (Step S14). When it is determined that there is no requirement of the printing within a given time, erasing the standby printing confirming screen is indicated (Step S16).
