<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting tester of backing paper for wallpaper allowing a cutting test of backing paper for wallpaper to be stably performed without being influenced by the experience or skill of a worker, enhancing the accuracy of a test result, and improving objectivity thereof. Ž<P>SOLUTION: With a cutting knife 2 for cutting a specimen S held by a knife holder 10, the specimen S is cut while lowering the knife holder 10, with the specimen S held by being sandwiched between a pair of plate materials, a back plate 21 and a pre-plate 22, constituting a specimen holding plate 20. Since the cutting knife 2 is held at a prescribed angle by the knife holder 10, cutting can be performed with a cutting angle kept unchanged relative to the specimen S. If the knife holder 10 is used together with a tensile tester such as a Tensilon tester, cutting can be performed by moving the cutting knife 2 at a constant speed. Ž<P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT Ž
