<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-friendly rice cooker capable of: heating a rice in a pot from upper part which is insufficient in heating of the rice by generating superheated steam using steam which is generated by reheating while keeping warm and preventing drying of rice caused by reheating by emitting the generated steam on the rice while reheating; obtaining extremely improved flavor by rapidly raising a temperature of the rice and preventing drying of the rice by making to circulate the steam generated in the pot as superheated steam; and achieving small-sized steam reheating. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rice cooker includes a detachable pot 2, a body having a pot storage part 1a being a closed-bottom cylindrical shape on an upper surface of the body, a heating means 7 for heating the pot 2, a cover 15 for covering an opening of the pot 2, and an operation part inside the cover 15, wherein the operation part includes: a reheating button for arbitrarily executing reheating for heating the rice while keeping warm; a steam circulating path for generating a circulation flow of the steam generated during reheating, via a steam circulating means 60; and a steam superheating means for heating the steam which flows in the steam circulating path to generate the superheated steam.
