PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel and improved plug preventing the occurrence of a spark between the plug and a socket when pulling the plug out of the socket by interrupting electric connection between the plug and the socket, in a power supply system for supplying electric power superposed with information signals. SOLUTION: The plug includes plug electrodes to be connected to a power line to which electric power superposed with the information signals is supplied via a bus line, a first semiconductor switching element to be connected in series to at least one of the plug electrodes, and a capacitor to be connected in series to at least one of the plug electrodes, provided in parallel to the first semiconductor switching element. This construction prevents the occurrence of spark between the plug and the socket during pulling the plug out of the socket in the power supply system for supplying electric power superposed with the information signals.
