FLAME-RETARDANT HIGH IMPACT POLYSTYRENE RESIN COMPOSITION HAVING GOOD FLUIDITY

PURPOSE: A flame-retardant polystyrene resin composition is provided to secure superior impact resistance and balance of fluidic properties using a flame retardant having improved commercial availability and to reduce the specific gravity of a final product. CONSTITUTION: A flame-retardant polystyrene resin composition comprises; rubber-modified polystyrene resin 100.0 parts by weight; brominated diphenylethane mixture 1~30 parts by weight; and antimony oxide 1~10 parts by weight. The rubber-modified polystyrene resin is obtained by polymerizing aromatic vinyl monomer 85~95 weight% and rubber polymer 5~15 weight%. The brominated diphenylethane mixture is manufactured through bromination of diphenylethane.
