PURPOSE: A pulse divider and a pulse dividing method are provided to prevent accumulation of errors without dropping speed about all dividing ratios capable of displaying fraction. CONSTITUTION: An initializing module(121) initializes an accumulated number of inputted pulses and an accumulated number of outputted pulses. A pulse dividing module(122) outputs a divided pulse whenever the accumulated number of outputted pulses increases. A reference pulse shale converting module(110) converts the inputted pulse into the reference pulse and transfers to the pulse dividing module. Output pulse shape converting modules(140-160) converts and outputs the outputted dividing pulse to the reference pulse and other types of pulses.
