PURPOSE: A search schema setting device and a method thereof are provided to recommend proper search schema for a customized search service, thereby improving user friendliness. CONSTITUTION: An interface(110) receives data and accepts data schema including a plurality of fields from a client through the Internet. A search schema analyzer(120) recommends the search schema by each field of the data schema. An index generator(130) generates an inverse index from data received using the search schema. A searching unit(140) executes a search about the received data using the inverse index and the search schema.
