PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an array substrate excellent in reliability capable of solving such a problem that the impression of a probe remains on a connection pad and an FPC or the like connected to the connection pad is peeled off to deteriorate the reliability when performing an electrical inspection of the array substrate by pressing the probe against the pad for connecting an outer circuit, to provide a mother substrate for the array substrate, and to provide a method of manufacturing the array substrate. SOLUTION: The array substrate 20 includes: the connection pad 53 which is formed on one side of the array substrate 20 and is used for connecting the outer circuit for driving a display pixel 12; and an inspection pad 56 which is formed symmetrically with the connection pad 53 and is located independently in the non-connection state on a place outside an area for forming the connection pad 53.
