PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder which can suppress variation in ink ejection characteristics. SOLUTION: A plurality of pressure chambers, and an air gap separated to the outside in the arranging direction from an outermost pressure chamber in each arranging direction of the plurality of pressure chambers are formed in a channel unit. An actuator unit 42 comprises discrete electrodes 60 formed oppositely to respective pressure chambers, a peripheral electrode 65 formed oppositely to each air gap, and a common electrode. The discrete electrodes 60, the peripheral electrode 65, and the common electrode are connected with a driver IC 51. The driver IC 51 generates an ink ejection signal repeating different potentials alternately and supplies it to the discrete electrodes 60. The driver IC 51 also generates a stand-by signal held at a predetermined potential and a reference signal held at a reference potential. When the ejection signal is supplied to the discrete electrode 60, the driver IC 51 supplies the stand-by signal to the peripheral electrode 65 and supplies the reference signal to the common electrode.
