<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cleaning a roll for rubber so as to remove a silane coupling agent adhered to the roll and thereby reduce adhesion of a rubber composition to the roll. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for cleaning the roll for rubber uses a cleaning agent including an aqueous solution of sodium hypochlorite or hydrogen peroxide.
