PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hologram generating device for generating a hologram allowing reproduction of a stereoscopic image preventing the formation of an occlusion hole even when a subject in a background is hidden by a foreground. SOLUTION: The hologram generating device 1 includes: a depth discontinuity detecting means 10 detecting a discontinuous range of depth between adjacent pixels based on a depth map; a missing pixel filling means 30 filling pixels for pixels not existing in a reference image by selecting pixels in a range of projecting the discontinuous range on a subject plane where pixels on the inner side of the adjacent pixels exist, from the adjacent image having parallax to the reference image within a diffusion range of light around the hologram pixels; and a hologram computing means 40 computing the pixel value of the hologram pixels by adding the quantity of light virtually incident into the position of the hologram pixels from each pixel position of the pixels in the diffusion range of light in a reference image and the pixels filled from the adjacent image.
