The handle (12) has a coupling mechanism (30) comprising two coupling elements that engage with each other in a form-fit and/or force-fit manner, in a connecting position. One of the elements has two coupling units (66, 68) that move relative to each other. One of the units (66) is brought to the connecting position for transferring a surgical rasp (10) from a release position by movement in a distal direction. A non-filled space of a recess is movable to a release position in a distal direction by the other coupling unit (68), where the recess forms the other element.
