<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce intake noise caused by intake pulsation transmitted to the outside of an engine room through an intake device arranged in the engine room formed by an engine cover, to improve an effect to prevent entering of water into combustion air, and to improve engine output performance. <P>SOLUTION: An upstream intake silencer 50 arranged outside of the engine room R is formed with an air introducing port 51i with the combustion air in an air intake space 40 led to flow into and an air lead-out port 51o with the combustion air in the intake silencer 50 led to flow out into the downstream intake silencer 60. The intake silencer 60 is formed with an intake air inlet 61i connected to the air introducing port 51o and an intake air outlet 61o with the combustion air led to flow out into the throttle passage 33 of a throttle valve device 31. The air introducing port 51i is arranged forward of the air lead-out port 51o. In a longitudinal direction, the intake air outlet 61o is arranged on a side opposite to the air introducing port 51i with respect to the air lead-out port 51o and intake air inlet 61i. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
