<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic tag system which determines the necessity of response using data stored in an electronic tag and controls whether to respond or not according to predetermined conditions in order to protect user's privacy. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic tag system, electronic tag, and control method transmit a response requesting instruction to one or a plurality of electronic tags by setting the response flag values of the electronic tags. Then, the system detects the presence of at least one electronic tag by receiving multiple responses from electronic tags at the same time or at different times. More preferably, the response flag indicates that the electronic tag is in responsive state when it responds to the response requesting instruction transmitted via a query device or indicates that the electronic tag is in unresponsive state when it does not. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
