PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger capable of improving pressure resistance of a liquid receiver by successfully jointing a closing member of the liquid receiver. SOLUTION: The heat exchanger 1 includes: a pair of tanks 2, 3 arranged leaving a prescribed interval; a plurality of tubes 4a of which both end parts are communicated and connected with the pair of tanks 2, 3; the long liquid receiver 5 arranged adjacent to and along the tank 3 and communicated and connected with the tank 3; a storage member 20 stored within the liquid receiver 5; an upper opening end 13b having an opening on one side in the longitudinal direction of the liquid receiver 5 and reduced diameter; and the closing member 15 for closing the upper opening end 13b. The entire heat exchanger 1 excluding the storage member 20 and the closing member 15 is integrally formed by brazing processing. The storage member 20 is inserted and arranged within the liquid receiver 5 from the upper opening end 13b after the brazing processing, and the closing member 15 is brazed and jointed to the upper opening end 13b after the insertion and arrangement of the storage member 20.
