<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a geared motor capable of very easily changing a speed reduction ratio between a cylindrical gear provided on an output shaft of the motor and a face gear mated with the cylindrical gear. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The geared motor includes a motor 20 having a cylindrical gear using a helical gear for an output shaft, and a gear speed reducer 30 with a face gear, as an initial stage gear, mated with the helical gear. In the geared motor, the cylindrical gear 22 and the initial stage gear are offset and mated with each other so that the shafts may not cross, the initial stage gear can be pivotally supported on different portions in a case 31 of the gear speed reducer 30, and the face gears 32, 35 having different speed reducing ratio can be assembled as the initial stage gear at the pivotally supporting positions on the different portions.
