<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide facsimile equipment capable of clearly reporting that a calling tone is call origination from the facsimile equipment on a calling side to a user of the facsimile equipment on a called side when redial is performed from the facsimile equipment on the calling side. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The facsimile equipment includes a communication control part for controlling a dial means for dialing an opposite party, a polarity inversion detection part for detecting hookup, a facsimile signal reception part for receiving facsimile signals, a redial control part for controlling redial to the opposite party, a voice message transmission part for transmitting a voice message, and a control part for dialing the opposite party and activating the redial control part when the facsimile signal reception part can not receive the facsimile signals for the prescribed time. When the facsimile signal reception part can not detect the facsimile signals for the prescribed time after redial is executed, the control part makes a prescribed voice message be transmitted.
