PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating dryer where a solvent adhered to its roof does not fall onto a substrate even if the solvent in an undried ink immediately after coated in the inkjet process is removed in a solvent-rich atmosphere. SOLUTION: The heating dryer is composed of a closable chamber 27, a heating section 20 where the substrate is loaded provided inside the chamber, and the roof 30 provided above the heating section, and is provided with: a means for removing the solvent adhered to the lower face of the roof by heating the solvent to vaporize; and an exhaust means 21 that exhausts the solvent vapor in the closable chamber, wherein the means for removing the solvent is the roof slanted, a wick-like material 33 that covers the lower face of the roof, or the roof made of a porous material 40.
