<p>The gravimeter has a separation unit comprising a first conductor wire (31) and a second conductor wire (32) that are parallel in a zone of a trap to a third conductor wire (30). The first wire is traversed by alternating current, and the second wire is traversed by another alternating current of same amplitude and frequency as the former current. Maximum amplitude and frequency of the currents create magnetic splitting field at atom cloud, with intensity greater than the magnetic intensity necessary to split atom cloud into two atom packets in a direction of polarization of magnetic field. An independent claim is also included for a method for measuring the gravitational field or an acceleration in a given direction of measurement by a matter-wave type gravimeter.</p> |
