PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized excellent coaxial connector, having a mechanism of switching signal paths, and to provide a communication device using the same. SOLUTION: The coaxial connector comprise an outside terminal 5 with an opening 12 into which, a mating contact probe is inserted; a movable contact point member 20, rotating and sliding freely arranged inside the outside terminal 5, having a center electrode pattern 25 with which, a center contact of the mating contact probe contacts, and a signal switching electrode pattern which is electrically connected to the center electrode pattern 25; and a fixed contact point member 30, arranged inside the outside terminal 5 in a fixed state, having a common electrode pattern 33 contacting the signal switching electrode pattern while sliding. When the mating contact probe is inserted, the movable contact member 20 rotates and slides to separate the signal switching electrode pattern formed at the bottom surface of the movable contact point member 20 from an electrode pattern 34 for connection and disconnection, and the signal path is switched. |
