Bristle tuft and toothbrush with bristle tuft

The bristle bunch (1) has thick bristles (2) whose wear behavior is different from wear behavior of thin bristles (3). Each thick bristle includes a color changeable wear indicator (5) for indicating color change of the thick bristles. The thin bristles are subjected to visible mechanical changes i.e. bending, with continuous mechanical stress. The mechanical changes are recognizable after a predetermined service life of a toothbrush. A cross-sectional area of the thin bristles is smaller than a cross-sectional area of the thick bristles. Free ends of the bristles are round in shape.
