An insecticidal and acaricidal composition comprises a compound represented by the general formula <FORM:0887308/VI/1> wherein R is phenyl, chlorophenyl, benzyl, cyclohexyl or dodecyl, and X is H, CH3, Cl or Br; and an insecticidal adjuvant comprising water and a Co solvent, water containing a wetting agent or an inert solid carrier. Specified active ingredients are N-phenyl sydnone, N-p-chlorophenyl sydnone, N-phenyl-C-methyl sydnone, N-cyclohexyl sydnone, N-m-chlorophenyl sydnone, N-phenyl-C-chloro sydnone and N-phenyl-C-bromo sydnone. The inert solid carriers may be used to prepare dusting compositions. |
