The screed (E) has a base screed (G) and extension screeds (A) supported at guiding assemblies with an extension guiding structure on a fixed guidance (F). Adjustment assemblies (3) are arranged between the extension guiding structure and a lower frame of the extension screed. A lateral inclination adjustment assembly (Q) is arranged between the adjustment assemblies and the frame to which a sole plate of the extension screed is fixed to or between the frame to which the sole plate of the extension screed is mounted for lateral inclination and the sole plate of the extension screed. An independent claim is also included for a method for laying a paving mat.
