PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a blood pressure-regulating agent having high safety, and capable of precisely suppressing the increase of the blood pressure by extracting a material capable of completely inhibiting the activities of ACE from an edible basidiomycetes, and further to provide a method for producing the blood pressure-regulating agent. SOLUTION: This blood pressure-regulating agent contains an extract of artificially cultivated Lyophyllum decastes (Fr.) Sing. obtained by using 'Kameyama no.1' as a spawn, as an active ingredient. The extract has the active ingredient having the following properties: (a) color and form: yellowish- brown powder; (b) chemical components: 60-80% sugar content and 5-15% protein content; and (c) solubility: water-soluble. |
